Celebrating Long-Term Relationships
Happy Spring! In all places in the northern hemisphere, the season is changing. The days are getting longer and warmer. The trees and flowers are blooming. We welcome the change, and hope all of you enjoy your Spring.

I wanted to share this picture with all of you. It was taken recently when I had the opportunity to share lunch with Buz and Judy Davies. One of my greatest joys is spending time with the individuals that I have been blessed to meet and to work with through the years.
Believe it or not, I met Buz and Judy when Buz was working for Copperweld Corporation in Pittsburgh, and I was a new CPA/financial planner at Deloitte & Touche (we will just leave the year a secret). I like to believe that Buz and Judy successfully retired, moved to AZ, and ultimately returned to the Pittsburgh region because of me – we did go through these life events and many more together as advisor and clients and as friends. Their children and grandchildren will probably dispute the part about Buz and Judy returning to the area because of me, but I would like to go on record that I was an influencer. It has been great having Buz and Judy back for the last several years – but seeing them, along with their daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Steve (not pictured and NC clients), for lunch in February was awesome!

COVID has been very hard on all of us. It has been with us for over two years now. In February and March, myself and several of my team made our first trips back to Florida – for me, it was almost exactly two years from my last visit. I believe that the hardest part of the last two years has been the loss of our freedom to be together with the people that are important in our lives - our families, our colleagues, and of course, you.

We hope 2022 will continue to bring us back together! Phone calls and virtual meetings are great, but not as great as building relationships and making memories in person. The team at SDWMA is looking forward to spending more time with you.
